ASEC S.A. was founded in 1997.
In October 2004 ASEC S.A. has become a member of the OTI Group. On
Track Innovations Ltd. (OTI) is a global leader in contactless microprocessor-based
smart card solutions for SmartID and homeland security, contactless
payment, petroleum and more.
From the very beginning ASEC has been involved in adapting contactless
smart card technologies in creating identification and security systems
as well as high-quality systems facilitating business processes.
Because of our high specialization and access through partner agreements
to brand new technologies as well as our constant interest in technology
development we have been able to set up in Poland many modern and
good-priced technology solutions.
ASEC S.A. develops, manufactures and markets card readers and reader
modules based on RFID technologies. These include high-end programmable
smart cards as well as economically priced readers.
For access control applications ASEC offers a complete line of readers
based on 13,56 MHz technology: Mifare, LEGIC advant, LEGIC prime and also 125 kHz reader.
A state-of-the-art design and robust
housings ensure suitability for the most demanding environments. These
innovative readers come with most of the common interfaces. Our RFID
products are designed to work in applications that are either stand-alone
or part of a network or system such as access control, time &
attendance, toll road payment, public transportation ticketing, city
cards, university cards, loyalty cards, sport & recreation facilities
management, park and ride and prepaid metering.
ASEC became the leading provider of contactless city transport and
parking systems in Poland after ASEC's system for public communications
(metro, tramways, buses) and parking was installed in the city of
Warsaw in 2004. ASEC has also become a premier provider in Poland
of contactless prepaid card systems based on GSM communications, while
delivering such a system to be installed in 2 500 press kiosks all
over Poland.
Due to its market driven approach, its determination to explore new
opportunities, and the continuous application of cutting edge technologies,
ASEC experienced a rapid growth since it was founded. The result is
an impressive track record of innovative products that enable our
customers to protect their assets and increase the efficiency of their
business operations.
After joining the OTI Group of companies, ASEC expanded its offer
of products and solutions to include also the following OTI's products
integrated into ASEC's solutions:
Contactless Payment Solutions
Such solutions are designed to allow the cardholders just tap
or present the card in front of the reader, ending time-consuming
searches for change and shortening lengthy waits for credit card authorization.
Contactless payment solutions are ideally suited for movie theaters,
convenience stores, fast food restaurants, gas stations, e.t.c. Payments
can be made either either on-line or offline as an e-purse, loading
funds through a refill system, or putting funds directly on the card.
Alternatively - credit card information can be stored directly on
the chip.

SmartID
A secure front-end solution for verifying ID and credentials
such as e-passports, driver's license, national identity cards, and
others. SmartID may be used for reliable access control in highly
sensitive areas or buildings, serve as part of traveler registration
program, health card, and more.
